Odisha Weather Alert: Thundershower in several parts for next 2 days

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre here today predicted thundershower activities in different parts of several districts across the state in next 48 hour.

As per the latest bulletin issued by MeT Centre, light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Cuttack and Dhenkanal while dry weather is very likely to prevail over rest districts till 8.30 am of February 19.

Besides, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Costal Odisha,
Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Angul and Dhenkanal.

From 8.30  am on February 19 up to 8.30 am on February 20, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur.

Besides, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts.

From 8.30 AM on February 20 to 8. am on February 21, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north costal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Angul.

The weathermen also predicted that there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next three days.

However, it is likely to gradually fall by two to three degree Celsius in two subsequent days over the districts of north interior Odisha.
