Odisha’s singing wizard Satyajit Jena gets highest votes at Lil Champs

Bhubaneswar, May 21:

Budding singer from Odisha Satyajit Jena was voted the highest by audience across the country and continued to remain in safe zone at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2017 aired on Zee TV yesterday.

However, his performance was not satisfactory to the jury members and judges on Saturday night. He scored only 94%, which was disappointing.

Satyajit Jena paired with Sachin failed to impress judges at the reality show. The judges – Himesh Reshmiya, Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali – found his style in the song Naina from the movie ‘Dangal’ very flat.

“I know you are talented singer with lots of potentialities, but do not take the competition very easily. While other contestants are improving themselves and taking the competition as a challenge, you take it easily,” told Neha to Satyajit on his performance.

Javed also suggested him to work on the flaws to make it perfect.

As he got the highest number of votes from the audience, he was saved from elimination.

At the elimination round, Shanmukhpriya and Shreyan Bhattacharya were saved by votes. However, Jassu Khan was eliminated from the show even though he sang nicely.

Dangal’s little wonders Zara Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar were special guests in the episode at the reality show to promote their film for World Television Premier, which was scheduled on 12 pm on Sunday on Zee TV.
