Pre-poll violence: Seven injured in BJP-BJD clash in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Ahead of panchayat polls, at least seven persons including five BJP workers and two from BJD were injured in a clash between two parties at weekly market in Raighar area of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district today.

The clash between two political groups erupted during election campaign at weekly market in Gona under Raighar block in the the district in upcoming panchayat polls.

According to reports, the BJD workers started playing mike in a rally at the weekly market where the BJP workers were holding a meeting. The exchange of words between two groups turned uglier and they attacked each other.

Following the incident, police reached the spot to control the situation and filed separate cases.
