Rainfall to lash 13 Odisha dists, parts of twin cities likely to submerge

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to pound as many as 13 districts of Odisha today, the Regional Meteorological Centre predicted.

Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Balasore, Balangir, Bargarh, Khurda including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Gajapati and Keonjhar districts are likely to experience moderate thunderstorm and lightning with moderate to intense spells of rainfall between 7.15 am and 10.15 am today, a bulletin of the Meteorological Centre said.

Low lying areas of the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are likely to submerge due to the rainfall, it added.
