Second Indian student dies in war-ravaged Ukraine in two days

New Delhi: A day after an Indian student was killed in shelling in Kharkiv of Ukraine, another medical student from India died in the war-torn country today.

The deceased student, Chandan Jindal, aged 22 was studying at Vinnytsia National Pyrogov, Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia in Ukraine. He was a resident of Barnala in Punjab.

As per reports, Chandan Jindal was admitted in the Emergency Hospital Vinnytsia after suffering an Ischemic stroke. He died earlier in the day.

His father, Shishan Kumar Jindal has written to the Government of India to make arrangements for bringing back his body.

Yesterday, an Indian student, identified as Naveen Shekharappa from Chalageri, Haveri of Karnataka State was killed in shelling in Kharkiv in Ukraine.

Shekharappa was a fourth year medical student of Kharkiv National Medical University. He had come out of the bomb shelter to buy something from a nearby store when he was struck by the shelling.
