Sorcery killings in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj: Three arrested

Odisha police today arrested three persons for allegedly killing an elderly couple in Mayurbhanj district on September 19 on suspicion of practicing black magic.

Notably, unidentified miscreants had killed a couple identified as Hadi Purty and Madeikuha Purity of Ambadahi village under Sarat police limits in the district last week when they were sleeping in their home.

The victimised family had complained the incident as a murder due to sorcery suspicion.

Acting on the complaint, Sarat police had launched a probe into the incident and today apprehended the trio.
