Team reviews Odisha’s Jeypore airstrip for expansion

Jeypore, Mar 8:

A 6-member team from Delhi, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar visited Koraput in Odisha yesterday to take stock of situation of proposed Jeypore airstrip expansion project.

According to reports, the runway of the airstrip will be expanded to 1500 metre. The M 28 flight with the facility of both domestic and cargo will be operated from the airstrip to other locations of the state and outside Odisha.

Earlier, the state government had sought intervention of Centre for expansion of airstrip at Jeypore in Koraput district.
