Thunderstorm alert for these Odisha districts for next 5 days

Bhubaneswar: India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast rain and thunderstorm for several districts in Odisha for next five days.

The weathermen issued yellow warning of thunderstorm till May 19 morning.

According to Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Rayagada during next 24 hours.

May 15-16: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore and Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Jajpur and Bhadrak.

May 16-17: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore and Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir and Kandhamal.

May 17-18: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, north Coastal Odisha, Khordha and Puri, and Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.

May 18-19: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh and Keonjhar.

Besides, there will be no large change in maximum temperature during next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha.
