Two killed, one injured as bus runs over bike in Odisha

Two persons were killed while another sustained grievous injuries when a Bhubaneswar-bound bus ran over a motorcycle near Athaguda under the local police limits here in Mayurbhanj district today.

The deceased persons have been identified as Chetan Soren of Bajan Sahi and Kuna Rout of Balabhadrapur. The injured person has been admitted to the government hospital here.

As per reports, the speeding bus coming from Patasanipur left for its destination this morning as per schedule. However, the driver reportedly lost control over the wheel and ran over the two-wheeler at Bundagadi Square near Athaguda. The bus later skidded off the road.

Informed by locals, a police team rushed to the spot and seized the bus. However, the driver managed to flee the scene.
