Two more drive-in Covid vaccination centres come up in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Two more drive-in Covid-19 vaccination centres will be opened in Bhubaneswar taking the total number of such vaccination centres in the city to seven.

The drive-in vaccination facility has been made available for 45+ age groups.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today decided the two additional drive-in Covid-19 vaccination centres will come up at BDA Kalyan Mandap, Kalinganagar K-7 and Fortune Towers in Maitree Vihar.

The slot booking for vaccination on May 28 and 29 will begin at 6 PM today. Interested citizens can book the slot on www.selfregistration.cowin.gov.in

The municipal corporation further informed daily 600 slots are available at all drive-in locations for May 28-29 except Utkal Galleria where 500 slots are available for May 28-29.

It stated the persons in 45+ age group will have to drive in their vehicles to the venue as per slot booked by them.

They will wait for their turn inside the vehicle at the venue and keep appointment slip ready for verification.

When their turn comes, they will get down from their vehicle and sit at designated place for vaccination After vaccination they will have to wait for at least 30 minutes at the waiting area.

The drive-in vaccination facility is currently available at Esplanade One Mall in Rasulgarh; DN Regalia Mall, Patrapada; Utkal Kanika Galleria, Kalpana Square; Symphony Mall, Rudrapur and KIIT University Cricket Ground.
