3 from Odisha arrested in Tamil Nadu for killing Odia youth

Bhubaneswar: As many as three persons hailing from Odisha were arrested in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore for allegedly murdering an Odia youth.

According to reports, Harilal Dandasena (24) of Bargarh district and Budhia (22) from Keonjhar district were working at a cotton mill in Coimbatore.

Few days ago, Harilal had taken some money as loan from Budhia. Later, on being asked by Budhia to return his money, Harilal assaulted him.

Budhia then told the incident to other Odia youths working at the mill, to which Harilal felt being insulted.

Harilal, along with two other youths from Odisha– Premananda Sahu (23) and Rajeev Sahu (22) of Balangir– allegedly thrashed Budhia to death with an iron rod yesterday.

The accused trio has been arrested by police. Investigation into the matter is underway.
