Ravenshaw closed sine die, boarders asked to vacate hostels

Ravenshaw University has been closed sine die and all boarders have been asked to vacate the hostels by 3 pm today. The authorities had to resort to this in view of the mounting tension in the campus following the decision taken on Friday not to hold the students union election this year, sources said.

There has been a large deployment of policemen in the campus to prevent violence.
