Two-day orientation programme of Odisha JRC begins

A two-day state-level orientation programme of the Junior Red Cross wing of the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha state unit began here today.

The programme of district secretaries of JRC district committees held at Red Cross Bhavan was organized to acquaint the participants with various activities and objectives of Junior Red Cross with the view to strengthen JRC movement in Odisha.

During inaugural day, SB Mishra, former chief secretary of Odisha and member, executive committee, IRCS-Odisha state unit, asked the JRC District Secretaries to take forward the JRC activities in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chakradhar Panda, secretary, JRC highlighted the objective of the training programme and praised the district secretaries for playing a vital role in building the future generation of the society through the JRC volunteers.

Among others, Snehamayee Senapati, deputy director, Secondary Education, Odisha, Brundaban Satpathy, District Education Officer, Khordha, Govinda Chandra Mahunta, honorary joint secretary, Apramita Mishra and under secretary, NR Mishra were also present.
