“Chhattisgarh government had promised to share all information about ongoing projects upstream of river Mahanadi within 15 days during the joint meeting called by the Centre at New Delhi to resolve the dispute between the two states over the river, but it is yet to do so. Therefore, we have sent reminders to CWC and Chhattisgarh government yesterday,” informed A P Padhi, Chief Secretary briefing reporters here today.

On the other hand, the BJD fact-finding team that had visited Chhattisgarh over the Mahanadi issue will submit its report to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik within next seven days, said Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, who was a member of the fact-finding team.

“During our visit, Chhattisgarh government had not provided some information which is creating hurdles in the preparation of the report. We will also fetch information from other teams that had visited Chhattisgarh to study projects being constructed upstream of Mahanadi and prepare the report,” informed Mishra.
