ACF death case: DFO has no relation with Bidyabharati, says SP

Bhubaneswar: In a major development in the case of Paralakhemundi Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) Saumya Ranjan Mohapatra’s mysterious death, Gajapati SP today said that accused DFO Sangram Keshari Behera has no relationship with deceased’s wife Bidyabharati Panda.

“We questioned the DFO today, during which he told us that he has no relationship with Bidyabharati. We also analysed his Call Detail Record (CDR) and it indicates that the DFO has no links with the woman and the cook who was working at the deceased’s residence,” the SP said.

Family members of Saumya Ranjan had earlier alleged the involvement of the DFO, Bidyabharati and the cook in murdering him.

They had also accused Bidyabharati of having an extramarital affair with the DFO.
