Bhadrak regaining normalcy: Curfew relaxed for 12 hours

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhadrak, Apr 18:

With relaxation of curfew during day time for the last several days, the violence-hit Bhadrak town in Odisha is gradually regaining normalcy.

The district administration relaxed the prohibitory orders today for 12 hours from 6 am to 6 pm.

Police have so far arrested over 170 persons, including Subhankar Mohapatra alias Kalia, councillor of ward no.15 of Bhadrak Municipality, in connection with the violence in the town.

Notably, the communally-sensitive Bhadrak town was on boil after some inflammatory posts were posted on social networking site leading to tension between two communities.
