Cuttack, May 25:

The Twin City Commissionerate police have arrested two persons in connection with the incident of bomb hurling at the house of Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain’s brother Birendra Pratap Swain at Chandni Chowk in Odisha’s Cuttack late on Monday night.

The arrested have been identified as Riyaz Khan of Oriya Bazar and Naim Baksh of Diwan Bazaar, informed Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora in a press meet today, adding that two live bombs and a motorcycle have been seized from them and they have been forwarded to court.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the duo had a dispute with the MLA’s nephew Amarendra Swain which led to the bombing. However, we have to verify all the facts,” the DCP said.
