Odisha CM felicitates ‘Hausla’ champs; announces cash rewards  

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated Odia participants in Hausla-2018 for their excellent performance in the national-level event that concluded on November 29.

The CM felicitated the youths at the Secretariat here and announced cash rewards of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 for participants who have secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the event, respectively. Patnaik also invited them to come and watch the ongoing Hockey World Cup matches at Kalinga Stadium here.

Hausla, a festival for children residing in child care institutions, was organised in Delhi from November 26 to November 29. The event included football, chess, athletics, painting, debate and many more. Around 37 participants aged below 18 years from Odisha took part in the event and won 14 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in various categories.

Thousands of youths from 18 States participated in district, state and national level competitions in Hausla-2018.
