Flesh trade racket busted in Odisha’s Bhadrak; 4 arrested, 3 sex workers rescued

Bhadrak: A sex racket was busted today from a place under Dhusuri police limits in Bhadrak. Police have arrested four persons in this connection and rescued three sex workers following a raid.

According to a source, the illegal activity has been going on for the past several months in a hotel named ‘Royal Palace’ in the town of this district. The hospitality facility is located nearly a kilometer away from the popular Shaivite shrine Akhandalamani temple of Aradi in Bhadrak district.

Dhusuri police were tipped off that a sex racket was active in the locality. Swinging into action, a team conducted a surprise raid leading to the arrests. Police have seized contraceptive pills and several other objectionable items from the possession of the attested persons.

“A raid was carried out acting on the directives of Bhadrak SP Varun Guntupalli. Three of the arrested are customers and the fourth one is an employee of the hotel,” a senior official expressed.
