Flesh trade racket busted in Odisha’s Jharsuguda, love birds rescued

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda police today rescued four people including an unmarried couple involved in a flesh trade racket from a hotel here this afternoon.

A team of police led by Jharsuguda IIC Sabitri Bal and comprising 25 police personnel raided the Hotel Mahavir Inn located under Town police limits at around 11.00 am on the basis of information about prostitution running in the hotel.

Police also detained the owner of the hotel identified as Nabin Nayak, who is also a BJP leader, for interrogation in the matter.

Among the rescued persons, two women are from West Bengal. The couple rescued during the raid is from Kuchinda.

Sources said that all the rescued persons have been arrested and they are being interrogated in connection with the sex trade.

The police seized the documents relating to identities of the Bengal women and the unmarried couple during the raid and verifying the fact.
