Heavy rainfall to lash north coastal Odisha in next 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: After three-day incessant rain in almost all parts of the districts, heavy rainfall is likely to lash north coastal Odisha and neighbourhood in next 24 hours.

According to Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, the well marked low pressure area over coastal Odisha and neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 9.5 km above mean sea level and tilting southwestwards with height.

Under the influence of low pressure, the heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha, Puri and Khordha districts.

Extremely heavy rainfall is predicted at one or two places over Sambalpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Angul districts of Odisha.

Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places over rest of the districts in Odisha during next 24 hours.

The fishermen are also advised not to venture into the sea during next 48 hours.
