Ind-Eng ODI in Odisha’s Barabati: Cheque, draft for tickets worth over Rs 2,000

Cricket fans wishing to avail tickets from counters worth over Rs 2,000 for the One-Day International (ODI) match between India and England scheduled to be played at the Barabati stadium here on January 19 would have to pay in cheques and bank drafts, informed OCA Secretary Ashirbad Behera today.

Tickets costing below Rs 2,000 can be purchased through cash. Card swipe machines will be available at ticket counters, Behera said at a press conference here.

While tickets will be sold to affiliated clubs and educational institutions of the OCA on January 14 and 15, as many as 32,403 tickets will be available for public at the counters of the stadium on January 16 and 17, he informed.

Further, online ticket sale will begin from January 2. A total of 8,310 tickets will be available online.

Water bottles will not be allowed inside the stadium, Behera said, adding that fire safety measures have been ensured.

The seating capacity of the stadium has been reduced from 45,500 to 43,500, he said.

Stadium gates will be opened at 10 am, four hours before the start of the match.

As many as 64 CCTV cameras, four high-powered movable CCTV cameras will be installed inside stadium.

The two teams will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Jan 18.
