KIIT, KISS celebrate National Youth Day in Odisha capital

National Youth Day was celebrated at KIIT University and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in the Odisha capital today to mark 151st birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

20150112_110610Paying tribute to statue of Swami Vivekananda in KISS, Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder, KIIT and KISS said youths should integrate and work for the benefit of the country.

India has a global demographic edge as youths constitute a large proportion of the country’s human resource, he said and urged the youths the make the best use of their resources. He also welcomed the call of prime minister Narendra Modi for youth integration.

Among others, RN Dash, secretary, KIIT and KISS; Dr PK Routray, CEO, KISS, SK Mohanty, COO, Dr PK Das, director, Dr Sasmita Samanta, registrar, KIIT University and DN Dwivedy were present on the occasion.
