Man run over by Shramik Special train in Odisha, rly employee critically injured

Rourkela: One man was killed and another railway employee critically injured after the duo was hit by a Shramik Special train today near the STI railway gate in Rourkela town.

The deceased was identified as Birasa Munda of Mudhusudan Pali. Following the incident, the railway police recovered his body from the railway track.

The injured railway employee, Hussain Hasar is a resident of the railway colony in the area.  Hasar’s both legs were severed in the train mishap. Besides, he sustained critical chest injuries. Hasar was rushed to the Rourkela ISPAT General Hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating the matter after registering a case.
