Maoists gun down suspected police informer in Odisha

Nuapada, Apr 19: In yet another barbaric act, Maoists allegedly shot dead a villager in Odisha’s Nuapada district late on Monday night suspecting him to be a police informer.

The deceased identified as Gajapati Majhi was a resident of Dhobaghat village.

Reports said Majhi was first abducted by the Red rebels from his home before they gunned him down.

Majhi’s bullet-ridden body was found in the nearby Patadara forest today in the wee hours, reports added.

“Gajapati Majhi  was abducted by the Maoists yesterday during the day. Maoists have killed him in the night suspecting him to be a police informer,” informed Pinak Mishra, SP Nuapada.
