Minor brother, sister drown in pond in Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: In a tragic incident, two minor children drowned while playing near a pond at Kulasahi village under Mangalpur police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

The deceased duo was Manas (3) and Mithun (2), brother and sister.

According to reports, the brother and sister had been to a pond near their house in the afternoon. While playing near the pond, they drowned.

Two minor children moved to the pond when their mother was busy cooking at home. While playing, their legs slipped into the water and drowned. The victims were rushed to the Mangalpur CHC where they were declared dead,” said Krushna Chandra Jena, a villager.
