Minor pushed out of train by TTE in Odisha capital

In a shocking incident, a minor boy sustained grievous injuries after he was allegedly pushed off a moving train by a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) near Mancheswar railway station in Odisha capital today morning.

The victim, identified as P. Krishna (15), was found lying on railway tracks near Mancheswar railway station in an unconscious state with injuries all over his body, sources said.

On being informed by locals regarding the incident, Nandankanan police reached the spot, rescued the boy and admitted him to Capital Hospital here.

“I was coming from Vizag to Cuttack on Chennai-Howrah Coromandel Express to meet my relatives. A TTE asked me to produce ticket. As I was travelling without ticket, the TTE asked me to give fine. When I said I have no money, he pushed me out of the train,” Krishna said.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) has started investigation into the incident by interrogating 3 TTEs who were on duty in the train.
