Odisha: Ambulance hits speeding truck; 3 staff critical  

Nayagarh: Three staff of an ambulance were critically injured after the vehicle had a head-on collision with a speeding truck near Kuanria Chhak under Daspalla police limits in Nayagarh district late last night.

The injured were rushed to the Nayagarh district headquarters hospital (DHH) for treatment.

Sources said the 108 ambulance was on its way to pick an injured bike rider near Kuanria toll gate for admitting him to a hospital at around 1 AM, when a speeding truck coming from opposite direction dashed it due to poor visibility for dense fog. The injured staff of the ambulance were first rushed to a hospital in Daspalla and later shifted to the DHH after their condition deteriorated.

Besides, the injured bike rider was also admitted to hospital.
