Odisha govt puts two more limestone mines for online auction

Odisha government has put up for online auction two more limestone mines in Nuapada and Sundergarh districts in the state.

The Odisha government has put these mines for bidding in accordance with the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 2015.

The mines which are placed for the online auction are Garramura limestone block in Nuapada district and Khatkurbahal limestone block in Sundergarh district.
The bidders can apply online through an electronic bidding process through a platform by central PSU MSTC, while SBI Capital Markets Ltd (SBICAP), a subsidiary of State Bank of India, has been engaged as the transaction advisor.
While the Garramura block in Nuapada has ore reserves of 2.79 million tons, the Khatkurbahal block in Sundergarh district has 9.9 million tons of limestone, according to officials.
The last date for purchase of tender document, after a payment of Rs 5 lakhs tender fee for each mineral block, from the website is February 5, 2016 and the last date for submission of the bid is February 10, 2016.
The auction process will be completed by the end of March this year.
