Thief found dead after burglary in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal, Dec 2:

A thief was found dead under suspicious circumstances after committing burglary from a house at Bainsia village Gandia police station in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Kedar Majhi (35) of Goradapala village here.

According to reports, Majhi and his two friends had entered into the house of one Narendra Pati last night with an intention of loot.

While Majhi was nabbed by locals, his two accomplices fled the spot. They tied Majhi with a pole and informed police regarding the incident. However, police didn’t turn up.

Majhi was found dead in a hanging state this morning following which police reached the spot and started investigation.

It was yet to be ascertained either Majhi was killed by someone or he committed suicide.
