The eight-member team headed by MLA Rabi Nayak visited the nondescript village.

“The team has made a visit to the village. After discussion with Dana Majhi, we would prepare a detailed report and submit it to state president,” state BJP vice president Sameer Mohanty said.

Earlier in the day, the saffron party activists gheraoed the CDMO office protesting against clean chit to officials.

Yesterday, a six-member Congress fact-finding team visited the village. Besides, Kalahandi MP Arka Keshari Deo also met Dana Majhi yesterday.

Politics over hearse being denied to the tribal man has taken centerstage in the meanwhile. While all roads now lead to the Melghara village, the opposition parties are leaving no stones unturned to take milage out of it.

Congress is scheduled to organize a ‘Padyatra’ from Melghara to Bhawanipatna today. The rally will be led by senior Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das and would reach their destination tomorrow.

Besides, the activists of the Grand Old party will also gherao the collector’s office on August 29, party sources said.
