COVID-19: 66 persons from two hospitals in Odisha’s Cuttack test positive

Cuttack: As many as 66 persons from two hospitals in Cuttack today tested positive for deadly COVID-19. Sources at the Cuttack district administration said 55 persons from the Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) contracted the virus infection while 11 persons from SCB Medical College and Hospital tested positive for the virus.

In AHRCC, 18 cancer patients, one nurse and 36 attendants tested for the infection. So far, a total of 69 persons from the cancer hospital have been found COVID-19 positive.

On July 1, five staff including a doctor and a patient of the cancer hospital tested positive for the virus.

Couple of days back, six patients of the AHRCC and an employee of the Aahaar centre on the premises of the hospital were found to be COVID-19 positive. Two nurses of the hospital tested positive for the virus infection on June 28.

The first COVID-19 case in the hospital was detected on June 24.
