Bhadrak special court in Odisha sentenced a man to 10 years in jail and fined him Rs 20,000 for raping a 10 year-old girl in 2013.

The accused has been identified as Bishnu Behera of Shiksha village under Jharpokaria police station in Bhadrak district of Odisha.

Special judge Pramod Kumar Jena, on Wednesday, pronounced 10 years of imprisonment and fined Bishnu Behera Rs 20,000 for raping the minor in Shiksha village in Bhadrak in the year 2013.

Behera had lured the girl to a secluded place and raped her while she was engaged in plucking fruits in the village.
