Miscreants loot Rs 7 lakh at knife point in Odisha’s Angul

Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 7 lakh from a staff of contractor firm at Kaniha in Odisha’s Angul district today.

According to reports, three bike-borne miscreants intercepted the person when he was on the way to a destination in his car. The robbers threatened him with knife and looted the amount from him.

A compliant was lodged at Kaniha police station in this regard, sources said.

In a similar incident, miscreants robbed Rs 4 lakh from the dickey of a bike after breaking it at Hindol road in Dhenkanal district today.

One Dayanidhi Sahoo of Talabaghalunda village had come to UCO bank at Hindol road to deposit the amount. The looters broke open the dickey lock and decamped with the cash.
