Odisha sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik critical, hospitalised

Bhubaneswar: Health condition of Sudarsan Pattnaik, internationally acclaimed sand artist from Odisha who had staged a dharna at the Bankimuhana sea beach in Puri, deteriorated today following which he was hospitalised.

He has been admitted to Apollo Hospital here, reports said.

Notably, the ace sand sculptor had staged a sit-in along with his students at the Bankimuhana sea beach demanding its cleaning and protesting pollution at the beach.

On the other hand, Puri Municipal Corporation today initiated cleaning process at the beach.
