Ranjit Patnaik family cries murder, lodges FIR

The mystery surrounding the death of popular Odisha television actor 38-year-old Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja turned murkier with his family filing a complaint in the Soro police station in Balasore, last night, against Jessy, Pralaya and the driver alleging that the trio had murdered him and are trying to cover it up as an accident.

“The complaint alleges that Priyadarshini Samal aka Jessy, car driver Dhaneswar, their manager Pralaya Jena had killed him and are trying to cover it up. A case has been registered against them in the Soro police station under IPC 302, 334,” said Soro police station in-charge.
Ranjit Patnaik’s family members in a written complaint have alleged that there was a conspiracy to murder Raja and a thorough police investigation could bring out the real reason behind his death. They also alleged that the role of the driver, his fellow passenger Pralipta Priyadarshini aka Jessy, event manager Pralaya should be investigated.
Amiya Patnaik, Raja’s uncle, on Tuesday night lodged an FIR before Soro police station against Jessy, event manager Pralaya and car driver Dhaneswar accusing them of killing Raja.
“This is not an accident, someone has killed him. Our suspicions are strengthened with the fact that no one was there in the hospital with his body. The three who were there with him when he died should be interrogated, and then the real facts will come out”, alleged Amiya Patnaik.
