Realtor found dead with bullet injury in Odisha capital

A city-based builder was found dead under mysterious circumstances with bullet injury on his body at his residence in the Odisha capita today.

The body of the deceased was found lying on the bed at 6th floor of Banaja Apartment, in Odisha capital today, with the firearm in his hand. The builder identified as Prafulla Ojha was found dead by his mother and niece in their drawing room at around 9.30 am this morning.

Ojha was staying in the apartment in the Unit VI area in the city since last two years. He was staying with his mother.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was under stress due to family dispute. The police are trying to ascertain whether it’s a case of murder or suicide.

Police recovered a four-page suicide note from near the body during investigation.

“His behaviour was quite normal when he interacted with me in the morning. He was in a jovial mood and had no signs of stress on his face. The couple used to fight occasionally. His wife was not residing with him since almost over six months,” Santosh Panda, manager of the apartment said.

Forensic team arrived at the apartment and collected blood samples from the spot and seized the gun which would be sent for test.
