Siblings drown in pond in Odisha village

Nayagarh, Jan 9:
In a heartrending incident, two minor boys in Odisha’s Nayagarh district today met their watery grave after drowning in the pond they had gone to take bath.

The siblings aged eight and three slipped into deep waters while taking bath in a pond at Sikharpur village under Ranapur block in the district this morning.
The duo was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. However, they were declared brought dead.
The deceased brothers have been identified as Subham Parida and Sipu Parida.
A pall of gloom descended on the family after the mishap.
