Tourist bus overturns in Odisha’s Nayagarh, 25 injured

Nayagarh: Around 25 tourists sustained injuries as a bus in which they were travelling overturned near Dimirijhari under Nuagaon police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district, late last night.

According to reports, the ill-fated vehicle carrying around 60 passengers of Chhattisgarh met with accident while they were returning after having darshan of deities at Srimandir in Puri. A wheel of the bus came off from the axle following which the vehicle turned turtle.

On being informed about the mishap, police and Fire Service personnel reached the spot, rescued the victims and rushed them to the District Headquarters Hospital. Condition of seven of them was stated to be critical.

The driver of the bus fled the spot after the accident while police have seized the vehicle and started investigation.
