Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation formed over the Andaman Sea is likely to turn into low pressure, which could further intensify into a deep depression, predicted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today.
A low pressure area to be formed in South Andaman Sea and its neighbourhood around May 6. This will move in the northwestward which will further intensify into a deep depression after 48 hours i.e. on May 8, Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre informed today.
The wind speed because of depression is likely to be around 40-50 kmph from May 5 onwards, which will further increase to 55-65 kmph for gusting upto 75 kmph on May 8.
The fishermen are advised not to venture into the Andaman Sea, adjoining Southeast and East-central Bay of Bengal from May 5 to 8.
However, no warning has been issued specifically for ports as of now as the system has not formed yet.
