Man falls into river as SUV hits motorcycle on bridge in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A man fell into a river from a bridge while his associate sustained critical injuries as the motorcycle on which they were travelling and an SUV collided head-on in Parjang area of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district today.

According to reports, victims Dipu Nayak and Suryakant Nayak were heading towards Talcher from Parjang on the ill-fated two-wheeler when a speeding SUV dashed against the motorcycle on Sarang bridge over Brahmani river.

The driver of the SUV fled the spot leaving the vehicle after the road mishap.

On being informed, Fire personnel from Talcher reached the place and rescued the youth who fell into the water body. The two have been admitted to the Mandapal Hospital in Talcher for treatment.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
