Odisha cancels auction of 20 mines

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has annulled the auction process for 20 mines whose leases are expiring on March 31, 2020.

The Steel & Mines Department has directed the Director of Mines to issue fresh notification for auction of the iron ore and manganese mines.

While the reason behind the cancellation has not been mentioned by the department, the fresh notification for auction of the 20 mines would be issued on December 6 and sale of tender papers will begin from the very day.

Last date for sale of tender document is December 30.
