Odisha MLA Raja Swain’s vehicle injures three in city

The car belonging to Athagarh legislator Ranendra Pratap Swain aka Raja Swain today hit two vehicles injuring three persons in the Odisha capital.

The SUV driven by his driver injured three persons, including two women near Sishu Bhawan Square here as it collided with two motorists. The injured were rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment.

While two of them sustained minor injuries, one person was badly injured, sources said.

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA, however, said that he wasn’t driving the vehicle and it was being driven by his driver as he was unwell.

His driver was on his way to get a doctor when the car suffered tyre burst and the man behind the wheel lost control over the vehicle, Swain claimed.

Meanwhile, Capital Police detained the driver and questioned him over the incident.
