Odisha registers 42.74 pc growth in GST collection in Sept

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has registered 42.74 per cent growth in GST collection in September this year in comparison to the corresponding period of last year.

The monthly GST collection (OGST and IGST) to be retained by the state stood at Rs 1,651.58 crore during September this year against a collection of Rs 1,157.08 crore during September 2022, registering a growth of 42. 74 per cent, said a release issued by the CT and GST Commissionerate in Odisha today.

Odisha has collected GST (OGST and IGST) to the tune of Rs 10,440.74 crore till September this year with a progressive growth rate of 23.27 per cent.

The OGST collection stood at Rs 1,197.37 crore in September 2023 against a collection Rs 926.96 crore during September 2022, with growth rate of 29.17 per cent.

The state recorded the Gross GST collection (OGST+IGST+CGST+Cess) of Rs 4,249.12 crore during September 2023 as against a collection of Rs 3,765.17 crore during September last year, with a growth rate of 12.85 per cent, added the release.

The collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT and GST, Including GST/VAT/Entry Tax/ Profession Tax, was Rs 2,638.17 crore during September 2023 as against the collection of Rs 2,070.26 crore in the corresponding period last year, with a growth rate of 27.43 per cent.

As many as 20.66 lakh waybills were generated in Odisha in September 2023 as against 17.66 waybills in September 2022, registering a growth rate of 16.98 per cent, said the release.
