Odisha weather update: Thunderstorm alert for 5 districts

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre has predicted thunderstorm for five districts of Odisha today.

One or two places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Koraput and Rayagada are likely to experience moderate thunderstorm and lightning, as per the latest weather update.

Weathermen have also forecast light rainfall and gusty wind with a speed of 40 kmph in these areas.

Such weather conditions are likely to prevail between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm today.

On the other hand, 11 places in Odisha recorded temperature above 40 degrees Celsius yesterday with Titlagarh being the highest.
