Odisha youth swept away in Nagabali river during idol immersion

Bhubaneswar: A 32-year-old youth went missing in Nagabali river while immersing Ganesh idol in Rayagada district of Odisha today.

The incident took place while Srinivash Ashok Kumar along with his family members was immersing Ganesh idol near Chokaguda bridge today afternoon.

Srinivash went missing after he was swept away by the strong currents in Nagabali river, sources said.

On being informed, police and Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and launched an operation to rescue Srinivash. However, they could not trace him till the last report came in.
