Student drowns, another goes missing in river in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara: A school student drowned and his classmate went missing while bathing in Birupa river in Odisha’s Kendrapara district today.

According to reports, Lipan Pradhan and Akash Das of Choti village under Derabish police limits had gone to the river for taking bath but slipped into deep waters during the process.

On being informed, Fire personnel and ODRAF team reached the spot and recovered the body of the deceased from the river. Till last reports came in, efforts were on to trace the missing student.
