Tension at Odisha colleges following protests by Plus 2 students

Puri: Tension sparked off at a few colleges in the state as Plus Two students staged protest against the the decision not to allow students who fails to secure minimum 33 per cent marks in first year annual examination.

Opposing the CHSE decision, Plus II first year students of Samanta Chandra Sekhara (Autonomous) College Puri, Khordha Jatni College, Biju Patnaik College and Debray colleges staged demonstration by burning tyres and road blockades. The agitators alleged that courses of almost every subject are yet to be finished. The decision will affect their performance in the exam.

On being informed, police officials reached the spot and pacified the angry students.
