Twin babies found dead in well under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Angul

Bantala: The bodies of twin babies were spotted today by some locals while floating in a well under mysterious circumstances in Mundadhipa Sahi under Bantala police limits of Angul district.

The deceased were identified as children of Sunil Sahu and Tapaswini Sahu from the village.

According to a source, the victim kids were around four months old. One of the twins was a boy and the other a girl. They belonged to the village of Basala panchayat. The mother of the babies had gone to bring milk when the fatal mishap occurred. The woman had closed the door of a room where the kids were sleeping, before leaving her house. The well is located at the back side of the house.

Someone probably barged into the house through the back door and has committed the crime. The babies have been killed for reasons not known yet, the deceased’s family alleged.

On being informed, Bantala police reached the spot and initiated a probe.
