Veteran Ollywood actor Bijay Mohanty hospitalised again

Bhubaneswar: Two weeks after veteran Ollywood actor Bijay Mohanty returned to home state following cardiac arrest in Hyderabad, the ailing cine star was hospitalised again.

Mohanty was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday morning after his health condition deteriorated at his residence in Bhubaneswar.

Source said that two theatre directors Manoj Patnaik and Subodh Patnaik had visited the ailing actor on Tuesday to meet him after he returned to home. The trio had talks over several theatre plays. The actor told Monoj Patnaik that they will switch to the plays again after he gets recovered from illness. Next morning, Mohanty was taken to the hospital in critical condition for treatment.

It is to be mentioned that Bijay Mohanty, an Odia cinema stalwart, was under treatment at the CARE Hospital in Bhubaneswar since June 14 after he reached the State capital in a special ambulance from Hyderabad. Read: Actor Bijay Mohanty Returns To Odisha

Recently, he had returned to his home from hospital.

On May 26, he was hospitalised in Hyderabad after he suffered a cardiac arrest during his short stay in the city with his actress wife Tandra Ray and daughter Jasmine Mohanty. He was discharged from the private hospital on June 13.
